For years, Kapil Jamdhade’s tea stall outside the ESIC hospital near the MIDC, “Software Technology Park” has been a familiar spot for our team, offering a much-needed break from our work routines. Little did we know, Kapil’s own son, 8-year-old Kalpesh, was battling a congenital heart defect.

After exhausting consultations with specialists, Kapil found hope at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore, where a surgeon offered to perform the life-saving surgery for Kalpesh. However, the daunting cost of three lac rupees stood in their way.

When Rahul Mitra, our HR Manager, learned of Kapil’s plight, he swiftly brought the matter to Pratap Dhopte, our M.D. Without hesitation, an email went out to the entire Excelize team, urging them to contribute. Pratap generously offered to match every donation.

Through the collective efforts of Team Excelize, a sum of Rs. 56,750/- was raised, with the company fulfilling its pledge to match the funds. With the community’s support, Kalpesh underwent surgery in April 2017 and is now on the path to recovery.

This heartwarming journey serves as a testament to the power of unity and compassion. We are immensely proud to have played a role in bringing this story to a positive conclusion. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Kapil and his family for allowing us to make a difference in their lives.
