BIM Coordination and Clash Detection Services in the USA

We federate your architectural, structural, and MEP models and resolve every clash before the field does. You get a coordinated set your trades can build from, with reports you can track to closure.

A clash found on site is a change order, an RFI, and a lost day. Excelize runs as your extended coordination team. We federate every discipline and resolve conflicts in the model, so the only thing your trades find in the field is room to build.

Every trade, one coordinated model What we deliver
What It Is

What is BIM clash detection?

BIM coordination combines each discipline's model into one federated model, then resolves the conflicts before construction. Clash detection is how those conflicts are found. A hard clash is two elements in the same space. A soft clash breaks a required clearance or access zone. A workflow clash is a sequencing conflict in time. Excelize coordinates architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-protection models for U.S. teams, runs the clash tests in Navisworks, and resolves every issue trade by trade.

What We Deliver

What our BIM coordination service includes

Federated multi-trade model

Every discipline aggregated into one coordinated model in Navisworks or your CDE, kept current as designs change.

Clash detection and resolution

Hard, soft, and workflow clashes found, grouped by trade, and resolved to a clean set.

Clash reports and issue tracking

Reports in BCF, Excel, or HTML with clash IDs, screenshots, location, and status you can track to closure.

Coordination meeting support

We join your OAC and trade calls, drive resolution, and update the model between rounds.

Coordinated 2D drawings

Sign-off coordination drawings generated from the federated model.

Constructability and QA checks

Model integrity and LOD checked before clash runs, so you get real conflicts, not false ones.

Our Process

Our BIM clash detection process

01

Model aggregation

We federate the latest models to your BEP and coordinate system, and QA each for integrity.

02

Clash testing

Rule-based and manual tests in Navisworks across every discipline pair, tuned to cut false positives.

03

Grouping and prioritization

Clashes grouped by trade and severity, with the noise stripped out.

04

Coordination and resolution

We join the calls, log decisions, and update the model, tracking every issue in BCF.

05

Sign-off and handoff

A re-run to confirm clash-free, senior sign-off, and handoff in your formats.

Tools & Standards

Clash detection tools and standards we use

01

Software

Navisworks Manage and Revit Interference Check, inside Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, or Revizto. Solibri and BCF for openBIM.

02

Standards

AIA G202 and BIMForum LOD definitions, your BEP, and U.S. building codes. Coordination usually runs at LOD 350.

03

Disciplines

Architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.

04

Formats

Models and reports in RVT, NWC/NWF, IFC, DWG, and BCF.

Where We Apply It

BIM coordination by building type

Built for the U.S. sectors where the trades run densest:

Healthcare and labs

Healthcare and labs

The most congested ceilings in construction. We coordinate above-ceiling MEP to LOD 350, so conflicts get solved in the model, not over an occupied floor.

Why It Matters

The ROI of BIM clash detection

A clash caught in the model costs a fraction of one caught in the field. Rework costs U.S. construction an estimated $31.3 billion a year. One documented program turned a $200,000 clash-detection investment into roughly $2.5 million in avoided cost. That is about a 10x return.

It is the process of finding conflicts between discipline models before construction. It catches hard clashes (elements in the same space), soft clashes (a broken clearance), and workflow clashes (a sequencing conflict in time).
Navisworks Manage and Revit Interference Check, inside Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, or Revizto. Reports are delivered in BCF, Excel, or HTML.
A hard clash is two elements overlapping. A soft clash breaks a required clearance or access zone. A workflow clash is a scheduling conflict found in the 4D model.
Most multi-trade coordination runs at LOD 350, on AIA G202 and BIMForum definitions, though we coordinate at the level your BEP requires.
Clash IDs, screenshots, the disciplines involved, location, and resolution status, in BCF, Excel, or HTML, so your team can track every issue to closure.
A coordinator or pod can be embedded within 48 hours and be productive in the first week because we already work in your tools.
